The Scout and Guide anniversary was held on Sunday 21st October 2012.

This date marks 80 years of Scouting at St Paul’s, or Tuel Lane Methodist as it it was formerly called.

In the after noon we had games and activities for all the kids, both Scouts & Guides alike on the playing fields at Dixie Wood.

An evening parade took place at St Paul’s, unfortunately the parade was limited to parading around the outside of the church. We stopped the traditional Sunday parades from Clay Street Rec a number of years ago as it was becoming more and more dangerous as drivers wont wait. At the service five Cubs moved up into the Scout section.

Afterwards the leaders, and many former Scouts & Guides, went for a buffet meal and drinks at the Works public house.
