We always need new leaders and helpers in the work we do with the young people of this town aged from 6 to 18.

We have a lot to offer:

• Uniform provided.
• Free training.
• Covered by Scout Association insurance while working with the group.
• Loan of Group equipment for personal use.
• Use of our hut in the Lake District for leaders and their family.
• Knowing that you are making a difference in the lives of young people.

New leaders are needed urgently!

We have recently lost 3 leaders, one for work reasons, another has moved away from the area and a third has decided to join the army.

Since Covid restrictions have been lifted and we are back to meeting normally again, we are bursting at the seams with loads of kids joining. Scouts are full with a waiting list and Cubs just has a couple of places – we could take more kids on, but not without more leaders!
