When Pastor David Katende visited our church in 2014 he spoke to 10 of us; when he ministers to men in Uganda hundreds, sometimes thousands, turn up. I told him almost in fun that when he returns in 2015 I’ll get him 100 men. As soon as the words left my lips I felt God’s hand on me and knew that what I’d said would become a reality

Later that week I stumbled across the saying by John Wesley:

“Give me one hundred men who fear nothing but sin and desire nothing but God, and I care not whether they be clergyman or laymen, they alone will shake the gates of Hell and set up the kingdom of Heaven upon the earth.”

and I felt God speaking again.

The first event was held at Rough Hey Wood campsite in Triangle. Plans for the following year fell through and in 2017 it was held at Sowerby Bridge Elim Church.
